These terms are written for adults. If you are under 18, read THRØ if you're under 18 — it is the same agreement in words you can get through in two minutes, which is what Article 14(3) of the Digital Services Act asks us for and what you should have anyway.
Using THRØ
You may use THRØ to score darts, keep a record of them, and take part in the teams, leagues and tournaments you are invited to. You need to be 13 or over to have an account, and 18 or over for the parts that put you in front of strangers — friends, public listing, and open events. We may check.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. THRØ has no email address for you, so if you lose every way of signing in, the account is lost — there is no recovery. Keep more than one way in.
What you post
THRØ carries things other people see: your name, your picture, team and league names, and the records of matches you played with somebody. When you put something there you keep owning it, and you give us permission to show it to the people it is meant for and to keep it as part of the record of a match, a season or a competition.
Nothing objectionable, and no abuse
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on THRØ. That means, and is not limited to: anything illegal; anything sexual; anything that attacks or demeans a person or a group over race, religion, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality; threats, harassment, or following somebody about; impersonating another player, a team or an official; deliberately false results; and anything at all directed at a child.
Every player can report and can block. A block takes effect immediately and does not wait for us. A report reaches a real person and is answered within 24 hours: we remove what should not be there, and we remove the account that posted it where that is the right answer. We do not have to warn you first, and a removed account does not come back.
Results, tables and honesty
THRØ keeps two kinds of record and never mixes them: matches scored on THRØ, dart by dart, and results entered by an official from somewhere else. Both count towards a league table; only the first is evidence, and every screen says which is which.
Entering results you know to be false, or scoring matches that did not happen to move a figure, is a reason to remove an account. A league's officials are responsible for the results they enter.
What we do not promise
THRØ is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of faults, or that a figure it shows is fit for any particular purpose. We do not promise a match will be recovered if a phone is lost. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of England and Wales, and nothing here excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Money
THRØ is free to use for a player. If we ever charge for anything — running a league, for instance — the price and what it buys will be said plainly before you pay, and this section will be replaced with the terms of that sale rather than left vague.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time: You → your profile → Delete my account, or see the deletion page. We can end your access if you break these terms, and we will say why unless saying so would put somebody at risk.
Changing these terms
If these change in a way that matters, the app says so and asks you to accept the new version before you can post anything further. Carrying on using THRØ after that is how you accept.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
